After the borders were closed due to the pandemic, many people were unable to appear at the notary's office to enter into contracts, regarding real estate. Currently, there are still restrictions on travel to some countries, and many people still choose not to travel by air.

In a previous post, we discussed the topic of the form in which a power of attorney should be granted if a party to the agreement is abroad and cannot be present at a notary in Poland.Another issue to be examined is the law applicable to the power of attorney. In other words, does a Spanish notary draw up a power of attorney in accordance with Spanish or Polish law?
Is an apostille clause really necessary?
Nowadays, we often conclude contracts before notaries on behalf of clients residing abroad. Each notary requires us to bring a power of attorney from the client, with an apostille clause, at the time of concluding contracts, relating to real estate.
